Derek C. Price D.C.
Derek is a native to Tempe, Az. His passion for athletics earned him a football scholarship to the Universtiy of Iowa(GO HAWKS). He earned a B.A while at Iowa and was then fortunate enougth to play in the NFL for the Detroit Lions. An unfortunate spinal cord injury and pursuant neck fusion surgery ended his career. Dr. Price left the game and went back to school at Life University where he earned his D.C. degree. Derek was responsible for establishing many different student clubs on campus including the Chiropractic Neurology Club which has grown to include nation wide chapters. Upon graduating Dr. Price served his internship in San Franciso, Ca at a Funcitonal Neurology Facility. Post intership Dr. Price relocated back to the Valley and is now the Owner and President of Preferred Rehab Spine and Sport.
Dr. Price enjoys participating in a wide variety of sports and believes in taking on difficult challanges as a means of personal growth. Some of the more notable endevors he has completed include: Cross Fit level 1 certified coach, Cross Fit affiliate gym owner (Cross Fit Preferred, located in Gilbert, Az), World renown mental toughness and SEAL inspired Hellweek Kokoro graduate where he earned Honor Man of class 17, Kokoro and SEAL Fit coach and is recognized as an OTS (Official Tranining Facility) for the SEAL fit program, 4 x Ironman Triathlon finisher, 2 x Alcatraz escape swim finisher, Multiple Triathlon podium finishes in each distance event including a 1st place finish in Super Frog Navy SEAL half Ironman, 2nd Place Ironman Arizona 2009 Clydesdale divison along with dozens of other endurance events.
Dr. Price is lucky enougth to have married his best friend in the world and have three beautiful little girls together. He has also been voted "Best in the Whole World Chiropractor" by his family.
Jeffery L. Rogers D.C.
Born and raised in Arizona he attended Highland High School and developed a love for sports. He became captain of the football team after playing at the varsity level for four consecutive years. Along the way he excelled at weight lifting and achieved the consecutive rep max award for bench pressing. He was also very big in the Scouting program earning his Eagle Scout award. After high school he turned down multiple invitations to play ball at the next level and instead opted to become a representative for his church and served the people of Hawaii for two years. Once back in AZ he attended ASU full time while working as a t-shirt designer. After gaining a grasp of the business he started his own company called, Monster Shirts. During this busy time of full time school and building of a business he met his wife and married her. After acceptance to Parker College of Chiropractic in Texas, he sold his business and transferred his credits. After years of studying, Dr. Rogers earned his B.A. degree in Health and Wellness and his doctorate in Chiropractic. He also helped to start the Parker Cycling Club where he led weekly rides around the city of Dallas. While developing an enjoyment for cycling through Chiropractic school, he excelled at his clinical requirements allowing him to finish a trimester early and was able to move back to AZ to be close to his extended family. He has since then competed in many triathlons and was a finisher in the 2010 Utah Ironman. Dr. Rogers has now been married to his wife, Becky, for seven years and has an active two year old boy named Brody. The happiest times of Dr. Rogers’ life now are simply spending all the free time he has away from the office with the two people that make his life the happiest-his family.
Jennifer Monroe, PT, DPT, LMT
Jennifer was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. Since a young age she has had a deep love to travel. This was encouraged by her families constant travel habits. They would visit places such as Disneyland and Disneyworld on consistent bases. Jennifer considered herself a very normal teenager. She loved to dance and hang out with friends, and even found herself on the bowling league at one point. Jennifer was always an outdoors person and still loves to hike today. And yes she will even do it in this hot Arizona heat. However, her love for mixed martial arts came at a later age.Jennifer was accepted to the University of Illinois. So she decided to pick up all of her belongings in Colorado and move to Illinois; where she graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. In 2007 she also became a licensed massage therapist specializing in Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Sports Massage. In addition, Jennifer graduated at A.T. Still University in 2010 with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. From there she decided to engage in her passion of mixed martial arts. Jennifer is currently a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. She has already taken part in two events for this current year. One of those events was the AZ Open, Silver (light weight) and Bronze (Absolute). Although, before obtaining her blue belt she had placed in copious events as a white belt. Such as the 2010 Southwest Classic, Silver (light weight) where she came in 2nd place. Jennifer has a very loving and adoring spouse named David. They have recently married and currently reside in Mesa, Arizona with their dog and three cats.
